I started making zines for the purpose of organizing.
While living in a homeless shelter in Times Square, tenant organizers taught me how to design and fold zines in order to educate and agitate alongside my neighbors.
Zine making has become a luxurious and casual hobby of mine, though I still make zines that agitate and educate.
I enjoy writing + reading confessional autofiction and visionary dreamzoning.
My zines often contain critiques of the past and visions for the future.
I use Figma, Electric Zine Maker, Apple Notes, Procreate, and Adobe InDesign to make zines.
I usually write the text for each zine inside Apple Notes and then decide on the design and layout inside Electric Zine Maker.
My tenant organizing zines can be found on the homeless pals site.
A digital gallery showcasing my zines can be found on my main website.
